A bridge that has been thereas if time never left the place
as if nothing ever changes
it suvives with minimal make-overs
sustained by basic maintenance.
It does not succumb to progress
it stays where it is today
because the village is in a far corner
out of the tourist route
far from the shopping crowds
safe from the hordes.
At least, on a idyllic week day
this bridge is safe.

i think people forget that so many cultures around the wolrd are still very traditiopnal and realise that thyeir way of life still works for them without technology or revolution
